I believe that your machine will need a new link spring
SPRING, LINK itm412514901-->
412514901 This spring is in the freearm area and rides on the feed eccentric. Go to a Husqvarna Viking authorized service center. The technician may not be immediately familiar with this problem but when you tell them where the problem is they will be able to fix it quite easily.
I recommend that they do not remove the feed mechanism. Instead, remove the three large screws on the bottom of the machine that hold the frame on the base plate and the screw that holds the link spring in place can be accessed through a hole in the bottom of the freearm that may be hidden by the ribbon cable that goes to the thread cutter. I have changed the part without removing anything else, just put it in place with a tweezer and reinstall the screw. No adjustments are required to the feed mechanism because none of the mounting screws are loosened.
Definetly have the machine serviced while it is in.
First, ask the associate at the service dealer what the price will be for a service for the machine. Then, ask what the additional cost will be for replacing the link spring. I will charge an additional $35 to the service for labor and the spring is about $5 to $10 is I remember correctly.
Don't attempt the repair on your own.
