Ready light on. Error light blinking once/second.

If I remove & replace the cartridge, it tries to run, but does not pick up paper and the light starts blinking again. Do not want to invest in a cartridge if my printer is shot.

SOURCE: konica minolta 2400w toners problem

hei, yes you can buy new toners but usually this problem is caused by toner dust, you have to take out your toners, and clean the contact chips and reinstall your toner. also there is a mechanism whats reading the chips that can be dusty.

SOURCE: Error light flashes ... Message: Open the printer

Hi Connie,

If you take out all the toners you will find a contact at the bottom where the chip from the cartridges touch , these three springs work loose.

If you notice them loose, you need to take the black clip out split it and solder them back on; that will sort the problem out.

CLICK HERE to download Service Manual for future reference (Its for MC 2300, works for 2400 series as well) Troubleshooting with service manual is on Owners risk.

HP Laserjet 1020 will not respond - warning light is on (not blinking) and the ready light is off.

Hello, remove the cartridge and check inside the printer, on the left side of the sponge roller about 1 inch/2.5 cm down, there is a lever that engages a flag at the back of the printer ( the sensor in case tells the printer that the cartridge is in the printer) check that lever and make sure it moves freely. If there is a pice of paper behind that lever, when you insert the cartridge the lever will not go all the way.

Printer mechnical error

Resolving a blinking light When an error occurs, the power light will blink continuously and an error message will appear on the computer screen. Read the onscreen error message explaining the problem and follow its solution. If no error message appears, go to the Maintenance section in the Printer Assistant and click any of the four main buttons. This will prompt the software to check the status of the printer and the error message should then appear. The following table lists possible causes and what to do to correct the problem. Symptom Possible cause What to do to correct the problem Power light is blinking Printer cover is open Close the cover. Printer is out of paper Insert appropriate media in the In tray. Printer has difficulty picking up label media
