There is a service bulletin on the spring and connector(the cord that connects the spring to the door)The spring for the hinges part number is 4970ED4004G. You will need to change the connector assembly for each hinge (plastic colored black at each end of the cord instead of white) and that part number is 4933DD3001B. I use a heavy coat hanger with a hook bent at the end. At the other end where I hold it, I've bent the remaining length of the hanger into a handle of sorts. This gizmo is about 1.5 feet long. Release as much tension from the springs as possible by closing the door. Using a headlamp, remove the kick panel and locate where the springs are attached to the lower frame. Now, using the coat hanger, hook the end of the spring that is attached to the cord. Pull firmly against the spring tension with one hand and unhook the spring from the cord with the other. Do this on both sides. Reach underneath and remove the springs and replace them with the new versions, hooked in same place as the old ones. Replace the cords with the black upgraded versions and reverse the above procedure. You shouldn't have to remove the washer from the counter to do this. Just take your time and don't get frustrated--I do this all the time, you *don't*. The hardest part is trying to hold the spring forward enough to latch the cord connector onto the hinge. That's where having that coat hanger is a blessing! Otherwise, you're gonna have to pull the dishwasher out of the counter and that can be a real pill. Good luck and I hope I helped you!

How do I fix or replace the door spring in a Miele G6892 dishwasher?

Step 1: Get Access to the Door Spring Remove the lower panel under the door. Normally, two screws keep the panel in place. These screws are located on top of or below the panel. There are cases wherein you have to initially open the dishwasher door to be able to remove the screws. The door should then be closed in order to remove the panel.
Step 2: Remove Springs To remove the springs, the hook of the spring should be lifted from the anchor point. Use your fingers to do so. If there is a large amount of tension, it's best to use a screwdriver or pliars. Position the shaft under the hook and then pull it down. After pulling down, try lifting the anchor. To make things easier, try locating a leverage point. This should help the screwdriver force the spring out. Be certain to remove the spring from all of its anchor points.
Step 3: Installation of New Springs To install a new spring, you initially have to deal with the positioning of the lower spring hook. It should be placed within the first hole. Take note of the adjustment bracket when doing this. Follow the previous set up. If the spring needs more tension, try positioning the spring hook further towards the back of the adjustment bracket. The end of the spring for the counter balance of the door should be mounted on the door support. Find the slot on the support. Replace all covers and door panels. Test the door to check for any problems.

How do I replace a broken door spring?

You can call a local garage door repair shop to get replacements. They should have springs that will work with your garage door depending on if the door is for a single-car or double-car garage, or if the door is made out of wood versus steel. Usually both of your springs will have to be replaced for safety reasons. You should not replace the spring yourself unless you are a trained professional with the proper equipment because the springs are very dangerous and cause serious injury.

Change springs on garage door

It's is straight forward. Select a replacement spring with the same tension color as the original spring. The color is applied to one of the hooks. Above all thread the safety wire through the center of the spring.

My garage door will not open but approx. 8" , no cable broken , chain on track. Today I found that one spring is broken. how hard is it to replace.

I have built many garage doors and installed many door openers. The typical garage door spring is not that hard to replace. I have to have 2 steel rods 1/2 inch in diameter to slowly tighten the spring.

Door latch

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Open Lever If the microwave door won't open the open lever might be broken. This part can be replaced separately.

Door Spring If the microwave door won't open the door spring may have broken. The door spring is located inside the door and keeps downward pressure on the door hook.

Door Latch If the microwave door won't open the door latch might be broken. The door latch is inside the microwave. The door hook, which is part of the door, engages with the latch to keep the door closed during operation. If the door latch or actuator breaks the door may not open.

Door Hook If the microwave door won't open the door hook might not be releasing properly. The door hook is installed inside the door and normally releases when the door is opened. The hook is made of plastic and will break over time. When this happens it will need to be replaced, it can't be repaired.

Button Spring If the microwave door won't open the button spring might be broken internally. The button spring can be replaced.
Button If the microwave door won't open the button might be broken internally. The button can be replaced.

Handle Actuator If the microwave door won't open the handle actuator might be broken. This is a plastic part which can become brittle over time. This part is connected between the door button and the door latch assembly.

Torsion spring is broken for our liftmaster 2265R model garage door opener and i need a new one where do you buy one?

Here are instructions for replacing the spring. You can call any local garage door company and they will sell you the springs. I absolutely don't recommend this job for a DIY'er. It is dangerous.

How to install new door spring on portable dishwasher

Things You'll Need:
  • Owner's manual
  • Screwdriver
  • Replacement spring (optional)
  1. Turn off the power to your Kenmore dishwasher before attempting any repairs. If you have a portable Kenmore dishwasher, you can just unplug the power cord from the wall. Built-in dishwashers are hard-wired into the cabinet, so you will have to turn off the breaker switch at the home's circuit breaker box to cut the power.
  2. 2 Remove the screws that hold the kickplate onto the lower front of the Kenmore dishwasher. Take the kickplate off to access the door springs.
  3. Check the door springs to make sure they have not come loose from the door support or the adjustment holes on the dishwasher. Re-attach any ends that have slipped off their connections.
  4. Replace the springs if they are connected at both ends but still do not have enough tension to support the weight of the door. Once a Kenmore dishwasher door spring is stretched out, it cannot be restored to its original condition. Unhook one end of the old spring from the adjustment hole. Unhook the other end from the door support and discard the spring. Insert one end of the replacement spring into the adjustment hole and the other end into the hook on the door support.
  5. Open and close the door a few times to make sure the spring is now working properly. The door should not bounce up and down or sag on the hinges when it is in the open position.
  6. Restore power to your Kenmore dishwasher by plugging it back in or turning on the switch at the home's circuit breaker panel.
