hello,
i never saw or heared this problem, if you mean like pop up, you can remove it from plug and play seting. you can try this method.

Make sure you have it set to wireless off in the menu or it will not recognise the ethernet port on the back even if it is flashing. Most tvs with browsers come with the wirless function set to on. Also if it has search for internet signal you could try this to get it to rec. as well.

For best performance I recommend you connect a HDMI cable from the PS3 to the HDMI input on your TV.
To display the PS3 you need to select the HDMI input on your TV.
