Do I need a password to hook up router?

Follow this instructions:1. connect via hard wired connection using your PC (network cable)2. open your internet explorer or any browser.3. type the numbers 192.168.1.1 on the address bar4. you will be routed to your router's settings, type admin for USERNAME: and admin for PASSWORD.5. look for the basic setup/settings6. look for the wireless settings7. under your SSID comes the WEP or WPA-PSK option8. that is your wi-fi password, then modified it and remember the password you use for you will need to enter it on your pc when you are connecting via wireless connection.you can select ASCII for password. it should be alpha numeric or combination of letters and numbers.9. select save and apply. then you are good to go.

You just need to contact your internet service provider to get your router password.

To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.0.1, the Default username is admin and the password is blank. it has a reset switch at back u have to reset router back to factory settings
use the manual for more details and password
then after resetting the router you have to again configure its setting as your needs

Once you reset the router your configuration will be lost and you will have to re configure it

Just reset it! At the back of the router is a small hole.With a toothpick or some like press gently for 30 seconds and wait for the router to start up again.Log in to http://192.xxx.xxx and start a new configuration..

Reset the router. There is a small reset button on the back of the router. Hold it in for 10 seconds and then the default login and password can be used.
The default user is blank, the default password is admin

if you set your own password and do not remember it the only solution i know of is to reset the router, and therefore the password, to the "factory default" settings:
-before doing so be sure you have any configuration information you may need to reconfigure the router.
-there should be a small recessed button, probably on the back, to perform the reset. usually it must be pushed and held for several seconds.
-often the default password/login info is printed on a label on the bottom of the router, if it is not there then check the manual or search..
-depending on your software you may need to restart your computer (or force it to reset its network interface) after the router has been reset, in order to access the network again.

type ur IP address on ur address bar 192.168.1.254
and go to ur firewall and then advanced settings
go to the bottom and allow all application
that should do the trick !
if you cant remember ur system key click forgot password should give you a hint if that dosnt work try still cant remember password
