SOURCE: Power Drivers seat stuck in partial recline

If it's anything like seats in GM's there is only one motor for each "function". They use a small gear box, with shafts and gears to distribute the movement to both sides of the seat. You will see a few motors under the seat also. Depending on how they made them, the recline motor may be under there too.

The cost will vary, and that's only IF a replacement part is available. Sometimes you have to get awhole new seat (some leather Caddy seats are close to $2500 EACH - ouch). You can always scour ebay (just do a search for "concorde seat" - theres actually a guy selling the entire lower rail assembly as i'm writing this)

Some seats have a factory unzippable cover. This may or may not allow you access to poke around in there.

I would check for any obstruction caught up in the pivot of the seat or near the area where the shafts / gears meet the tilt mechanism. It could be anything really, but coins tend to be the majority of the culprits! I've found that trying to lay on your head to find them is a pain, and you always miss something. It's easier to unplug the power to the seat, take out the 4 bolts, and turn the seat upside down in the driveway and shake out whatever is caught up in it.

SOURCE: drivers side seat not working properly

hi this sounds like the coiled spring that is enclosed behind the cover where the recline lever is it has either broken or the pin it locates on has snapped or spring has for some reason slipped its fastening ? try removing cover and investigate the spring and its locator points

Human Touch PC-075 Recliner is there a stop setting?

The Human Touch PC-075 recliner does not have a stop setting to limit the amount of recline. However, you may be able to adjust the recline tension by using the adjustment knob located under the seat. This will control the ease with which the chair reclines and returns to the upright position.
Adding a mechanical stop to the recline mechanism is not recommended, as it may interfere with the chair's operation and potentially damage the mechanism. It's best to adjust the tension as needed using the adjustment knob.

Switch not working

I have an older electric Perfect Chair model and the switch has go out twice.
To fix mine here's what I did. you will need a butterknife, scotch tape, flat screwdriver, allen head wrench to fit screws on inside panel.
1. Scotch or painter tape on the wood around the switch so as not to scratch it.
2. Pop the switch box out of the wooden chair leg by using a butterknife edge (similiar flat tool will work).
3. There are six wires attached to the switch-single orange, double orange, single yellow, double yellow, blue one and a red one. Diagram which
wires go where so can hook back up correctly.
4. Unhook the wires from the switch.
5. Easier to rehook up the wires if remove the panel from the inside of the wooden chair leg. Need the correct size allen head or six sided wrench to remove the the 3 screws on this panel.
6. Open the switch by popping up the button. gently use a small screwdriver to do this.
7. There are 2 small metal slips/pedals at the bottom of the switch. the switch stops working when one or both of these get out of place.
8. Need to replace the metal pedal in correct position.
9.Replace the the button on the switch carefully to avoid disturbing the metal pedals.
10. Hook up the switch wires-see #3 and 5 above. my chair worked after this fix ! let me know if this helps - [email protected]
