What number is the tension supposed to be on? Also what number should the big dial be on for just general sewing?

Question also edited for clarity. This one was worse!

You need a manual, and as stated, you need the model number to find it. The tension dial should be set are the middle. If it goes 1 - 10, set it at 5. If the thread is laying at the bottom, you increase the tension to say 6, or 7. If it is bunching at the top, your turn it down to 4.

Your big dial will be either stitch length or the stitch type, plain, zig zag, buttonhole, tacking stitch, blind stitch etc.

My nespresso is only creating 3-4 oz of coffee using the 6 oz button. Have descaled with no change. Any ideas?

Try holding both the buttons down and then turning the machine on while still holding the buttons till they stop flashing - usually about 2 - 5 seconds. This will reset to factory settings. Then you can reprogramme the Lungo button if necessary, by holding it down white the coffee is being extracted, till the amount you want is processed. The machine will remember this till you reset to factory settings.

I get lots of watered down coffee. It brews 3/4 cup but it is so watered down. We have descaled etc. I want a thick expresso like taste. This is on a large cup setting Help?>

HI
When you run a lot of water through just a little coffee it gets water down. Try making 2 meduim cups instead. When they make espresso its 1 tablespoon to 1 oz of water. Your running 6 oz of water through the same amount of coffee, and its going to be weak. Program you buttons for 2 shots to fill your cup and it will be pretty strong.

Can you tell me the order in which each componet of a gas furnace comes on to start the furance?

Yes there is a sequence:
0:00 Dial for fan/limit switch is at 70 deg position. Furnace is cold. I turn T-stat to 80 deg to start furnace.
1:00 Burner comes on and dial begins to move slowly up.
2:30 Dial at 140 deg and fan motor comes on. Dial never goes above 150 deg.
3:00 Burner turns off. Dial slowly moves back towards 90 deg.
4:45 Burner turns on and dial is at 110 deg.
4:50 Fan turns off with dial still at 110 deg.
5:30 Burner off. Dial at 120 deg.
6:15 Fan on. Dial at 140 deg. Burner is still off.
7:00 Burner on. Dial at 120 deg.
7:40 Burner off. Dial still at 120 deg.
8:30 Fan off with dial at 110 deg., and it quickly snaps back to the 80 deg. position.
8:30 plus, cycle continues.....

Give it gas slows down

Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
Chain Saws:
5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
6) replace gaskets/diaphragms
a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb
b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body,
then the gasket towards the outside
c) metering gasket goes against the carb body,
and the diaphragm goes towards the outside

Temperature control

I have a danby mini fridge and freezer and noticed the same problem. The temperature dial has NO NUMBERS ON IT! it just has a strip that goes from light to dark blue. That's it. I looked in the manual and it doesn't say anywhere which way is colder...it makes sense that the darker the blue the colder the temperature but why keep us guessing?
