SOURCE: printing status frozen and won't delete or print

Have you tried unpluging your printer from the computer as well as unpluging the printer from the electrical? If that doesn't work you should start from scratch... that is remove the printer from the computer memory, delete it, turn off the computer, turn on the computer and go through the installation process as if you just purchased the printer. Barring any mechanical problems as in jams or the such, the printer should return to operational status.

SOURCE: HOW WILL I UNPAUSED MY PRINTER?

There should be a printer icon in the notification area. You can double-click on that to bring up the printer status. If the icon is not there, you can go to Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and double-click on your printer. The first item in the print queue should be listed as paused. Right-clock on it and select Resume from the context menu.

Try stopping the print spooler service and canelling all the documents.

The Windows Print Spooler is a Windows XP "Service". You can start/stop it via the following steps:

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. click on Run
  3. enter "services.msc" without the quotes and press Enter
  4. Scroll down to Print Spooler
  5. Single-Click on Print Spooler
  6. The details will open in the middle of the window.
    • It probably shows Start -- if so, Start it.
    • If it shows Stop and Restart, I suggest Stop it, then Start it.

How to resume Kyocera KM4050 kx if it shows paused from printing source e.g computer?

If the status from the printing source writes "paused" despite the green tick, there are a few possible reasons why this may be happening:
  1. Printer software: The printer software may be set to pause the print job. Check the printer software settings to see if there are any options to pause the print job.
  2. Print queue: The print job may be paused in the print queue. Check the print queue on your computer or device to see if the print job is paused. If it is, try resuming the print job.
  3. Paper jam: A paper jam can cause the printer to pause the print job. Check the printer for any paper jams and clear them if necessary.
  4. Low ink or toner: If the printer is low on ink or toner, it may pause the print job. Check the ink or toner levels and replace them if necessary.
  5. Connectivity issues: Connectivity issues between the printer and the computer or device can also cause the print job to pause. Check the connection between the printer and the computer or device and make sure it is properly established.
If you're unsure about any of these steps or are not comfortable troubleshooting the printer on your own, it's always best to contact the printer manufacturer or a professional technician for assistance. They can help diagnose and fix the problem safely and effectively.

What does it mean that printer is on "pause"

This means that print jobs sent to the printer will not print untill the printer is unpaused. This setting is used mainly for maintenance purposes.

To unpause a printer
1.) Left click Start in the bottom left hand corner of the screen
2.) Left click Control Panel
3.) Now, double-click "Devices and Printers" or "Printers and Faxes"
4.) In the Window you will see your printer, double-click your printer
5.) This screen will show you active print jobs, to pause or unpause the printer click File then click "Pause printing"

Hope this helps :)

My printer is paused and I can't get it to unpause.

Here are the problems due to which a printer gets stuck in pause and ways to fix it:

* Problems
* Reinstall drivers
* Verify Print Spooler service

Problems

There are several problems due to which your printer gets stuck in pause. Driver issues are considered to be one of the major problems as they allow printers to communicate with the Operating System of your PC. When there are problems with Print Spooler, your printer can get stuck in pause.

Reinstall drivers

In order to resolve the problems that occur when your printer get stuck in pause, as a first step, you will have to disconnect the printer and delete the printer from Device Manager. An outdated printer driver will also cause certain problems. Thus, you need to download the appropriate printer driver from manufacturers website and install it on your PC. All connections work and icon shows that print is ready but no print

Under your printers and faxes. make sure that the print jobs arent paused. If there is print jobs waiting, try to unpause them if paused. Otherwise remove all the pending print jobs, restart your PC and make sure all the print jobs are cleared. Then give it another go.

Trying to print, but Status Paused is showing

Hi

Thanks for using FIxYa. Please turn the printer off and then cancel all the print queues pending in the bottom toolbar by double clicking on the printer logo if you want to delete all the pending printing files. Now turn the printer on. If you do not want to cancel all the printing jobs then you can double click on the printer logo showing in the right side of the bottom tool bar and then right click on the printing jobs pending for printings then click on restart printing. Issue will be resolved and it will not show ‘paused status’.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Need to cancel a printing project

If you are using windows go to the start menu. Go to settings, printers and faxes. Open the printer window. Highlight the job and from the menu click on document and then clear. Reboot your printer and you should be good. If you cant clear the job disconnect the printer and try again. Rebooting will help the computer is all else fails.
