I have reset the plug gap to .05 and fly wheel to.30 and still no spark.The kill switch seems to be working OK.
If your spark plug is a whitish color I would change out the coil. It should only cost around $30-40 and with the age and the time of year you use it i would suspect a coil. At some point moisture has gotten into the coil windings or the path of spark and fried it is what it sounds like. Probably giving you a weak spark and causing a whitish color on your plug
OR...and sounds more like the problem ...
your plug is covered in a black soot. It is carbon buildup....service your valves...You probably have carbon build up on your valves as well as they are probably out of adjustment. Good luck
