The part you need is 316111202. Any good appliance parts store or website should be able to locate one for you. Your sensor should have about 1100 ohms at room temperature. Check the connector first before replacing sensor. They are notorious for causing problems. The only things that control temp is the sensor and the main board. If the sensor and wiring check good, then the main board is defective.

SOURCE: Door locked after cancelling self clean option

Open the door. In the upper left corner, press and hold the door switch (the one that controls the inside light). Start a self clean cycle and wait for lock motor to engage. When the lock stops moving it should be in the unlocked position. Press cancel to stop the self clean.

I misplaced my manual and need to have instructions to use the self-cleaning feature.

First take out the broiler pan, insert and any aluminum foil. Remove any other tools or pans from the oven. Next clean any large deposits in the oven cavity with hot, soapy water and a cloth. Clean the oven frame, the area outside of the door gasket and the very front center of the oven bottom with soap and water. Once you are ready to start the Self-Clean cycle, press the Self-Clean touch pad. To change the length of the Self-Clean cycle, press the pad again, as needed. Press Start. If you want to have the Self-Clean delayed, press the Delay Start touch pad after the Door Loc message appears. Type in the start time with the keypad.

To stop this cycle, press Cancel. If the oven is hot, the door will remain locked.

How do I clean my Frigidaire electric oven, Model FEF352AWF?

See page 13 for specific instructions.

ShopYourWay FRIGIDAIRE Free Standing Electric ShopYourWay

As tedious as it may seem I suggest that cleaning the unit by hand is the preferred process. Most failures that I have experienced have occurred just after the clean cycle is completed. There is a lot of stress during self clean and critical components are stressed and are more likely to fail. On two occasions I have had a failure days before family dinners. Usually in preparation for family we had been cleaning the oven. Both the temperature sensor and heating element have failed.

With a free standing oven repairs are a lot easier than with a built in wall oven requiring saw horses to remove and set. In any case plan to clean long before company in the event a repair results.

MODEL FGF355CGBF Door lock activates when check food in oven not allowing to continue to cook. occasionally stays locked

Hello Richard;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You have an old unit. Some parts such as the door switch are no longer available.

You door lock should only engage when you are in the self cleaning mode. So you have a communications problem between the door lock and you control panel.

You may to replace one or both of these components.

Based on the cost of the parts and my service call experience you are looking at a $500.00 -$600.00 service call.

It's time for a new unit. Go into the internet and search; :Sears Outlet Store". This is a scratch and dent store where you can save several hundred dollars on a new unit with a one year warrantee.

Frigidaire oven overheating

I would say that the oven thermostat is malfunctioning, and you will probably need a new one fitting.
Make sure the sensor inside the oven has not become detached, as this will make a differance.
Plz leave feedback.

Self-cleaning gas oven

Door lock motor has probably failed.....Self clean on many
ovens can be a self destruct mode. Door latch motors, sensor
probes and even the electronic controls can be destroyed by
this operation. On many freestanding stoves the lock motor is located in the right rear (looking from the front) with a long rod connected to the lock. remove the motor and unhook the rod from the motor cam. Sometimes bending a coat hangar into a hook and sliding from the right side into the lock you can unlock the door.
