Try cleaning the laser lens with a q tip and small amount of Windex then dry it off with the other end of the q tip.

Front-end shake above 70 that gets worse.

Hi,its possible for the inner wheele bearing has broke down, just rase the wheele off the floor hold the wheele one hand at 12oclock and the other hand at 6oclock and push at the top and at the same time pull the bottom, and push and pull to see if you can feel eney playif no play thats good then spine the wheele it should spin freely(that shows that the wheele bearing is ok if it spins freely and no play it will also show you if there is eney ply in the top and bottom balljoints).
to check the trake rod end you do the same as before with the wheele but this time you hold your left hand at 9oclock and right hand at 3oclock and again push and pull this time you are feeling for movement on the right hand side(which would be trackrod end)no movement great.
I would do this on other side as well, then if every thing seems fine you will have to take it in to some where to have the traking done(wheele inlinement)but make shore that you check for worn parts first before you get traking done ,as if you replace a part you might have to get the traking done again.
Hope this was some help, all the best.

How can I fix the speed myself on a Steepletone ST918 record player ? 33rpm plays LP's at 45rpm !!!!

I am not familiar with this brand, but many turn tables adjust the speed using a rubber wheel and a turntable motor with different shaft sizes. The shaft is ground smaller in steps the further from the motor. As the rubber wheel is moved up the shaft, the slower the turn table spins. Most times you can lift the turntable up (may have a clip to hold it in place) and look to see if the wheel moves up and down on the shaft as you shift speeds.

Knocking on suspension

This problem could be a number of things, the best thing to do is to check the front suspension. first jack up the car , front of car with e- brake on, the first thing is to make sure the wheels are not loose, i have seen loose lug nuts cause this problem, shake wheel and then check lug nuts that hold wheel on.

Grab hold of one wheel and shake it in and out, this is done with hands on the left and right of tire, and then top and bottom of tire, you are looking for play in the steering components ,
Next you will need to check the ball joints, to this you will need a floor jack, place the jack under lower control arm, this will take pressure off the joints by compressing the spring, then with a bar placed under the tire lift bar and have someone watch for movement in the ball joints.this is to be done on both sides.

If there is play an these parts then replacement is needed but keep in mind a little play may not cause the clunk you hear, there would have to be a lot of play. the last thing in the front suspension would be the control arm bushings or sway bar bushings. these you will need to look at closely..

good day

Wurlitzer one more time. no sound and record will not eject

There is a switch just under the tone arm. When the tone arm moves towards the centre it slowly pushes two copper strips together. When they meet it starts the motor to eject the record. If you can't Cancel the record with the cancel button then that is a different problem, otherwise you can adjust the trip switch by inserting a 7mm spanner down the hole to the right of the tone arm post.

Radio problem, keeps beeping and saying code.

On the controls on the steering wheel hold the vol + & - for a couple of seconds and this should bring up the 0000 on screen and then its a case of spinning the wheel control on the side and holding + & - to set it.

45's won't play through

I FIGURED IT OUT! Here's how to fix the problem. 1. Remove the c clamp that holds your turntable in the box. Do this slowly so you don't over stretch or break your belt. 2. There are 3 screws holding the entire record player mechanism in the box. Take those out. 3. Look just under where the arm (the thing that holds the needle stylus) attaches to the mechanism. See that long wire rod that runs from that spot to just about the center of the turntable? It's being held at the arm by a little plastic piece that has a screw. The screw needs to be tightened. Once you tighten the screw, that will make is so that the arm has to be moved less to the right to start the record, and more to the left to turn it off. This makes it possible for you to hear the end of your songs! 4. Screw the mechanism back in the box (not too tight, you want those shock mounts to work). 5. To get the belt back on the wheel, first look under the wheel. See the big circle that is about half the size of the wheel? Place the belt around that. 6. Now look further out on the wheel. Do you see a plastic peg (actually 2 pegs....they are across from each other on the wheel)? Stretch the belt to one of the pegs. 7. Place the wheel back on the mechanism with the stretched part over the motor. Now spin the wheel slowly until the belt falls onto the motor. 8. Reattach the c clamp on the wheel and you're all set. Oh, I forgot to mention that you should put a record on and make sure you adjusted that screw under the arm enough. I had to do mine a couple of times. Hope this is helpful! Here's a video I found that better explains how to get the belt back on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaW84Z6GMVs
