When turning on Acer aspire V5-571 only get the Acer screen and get floating ball wait sign nothing else. I power off/on and try again. I have tried booting but only get Acer aspire screen then floating ball then the screen goes blank and does not load up

this seems like a no boot / no video kind off issue and mostly is coz of corruptions in softwares or drivers, try booting the computer in safe mode. if it does, then take a data backup. i would not recommend experimenting in this issue as it can crash the computer.

search on google driver pack solution online then you will use it to scan and fix the drivers and install the onces that will not work correctly and ones which are not installed
Turn off notebook. Remove the battery. Press Power button. Notebook should start working. Wait for 15 secs. If the screen still blank press Power button and hold it for approx. 4 seconds until notebook is powered off. Then press power button again. Bingo, problem should be solved.
If there is power beside you,why not connect you laptop to the family power,it will be good to your acer aspire 9300 battery life .Pay attention to your acer aspire 9300 laptop have been 2 years old,i think it most properly some problem to your acer aspire 9300 battery.
I also have this problem with my Acer netbook. I have only had it for 4 months and am in Turkey on an extended break at the moment. I have taken the netbook to a dealer here and have been told the problem is the motherboard, verified by Acer themselves. I am not happy with this as the netbook was not cheap and there appears to be a few Acer models with the same problem
check if dvd drive will eject if not if it doesnt - try another socket if still gets nothing - change fuse in plug if same - try another power adapter (preferably from same manufacturer and model) If still doesnt get power try get new power supply unit from repair shop or get quote for cost to fix
