You can try hard reset using 3 key combo, but you'll need to know current Gmail account in use.

It is unfortunate that you forgot your code, but I think it hardly seems fair for you to blame Android when YOU are the one that forgot the code. I'm not trying to be rude, and I do hope you get it figured out, but I don't want it to be easy for someone to get into my locked device without knowing the proper code.

Well most people gnash their teeth, feel silly, grumble, beg for a PUK code, which they will never get, blame the world, blame the techs, blame themself, moan, groan "it isn't fair, then break down buy a new phone and vow to be and are a better person, and more responsible, and this time they write down the password somewhere safe so this won't happen again.

Providing you have not changed the code since purchase, by default the 4 digit code is set to four zeros(0000)

Well, to make a long story short, I finally unlocked my ipod after perilous hours of invalid guesses. What did I do? I have a habit of making obvious passwords-I simply goofed this time. I used the last four digits of my mother's cellphone number! Yes, yes, silly me silly me. However, I was quite relieved when I finally unlocked it. Thanks! =)
