What to do to tracker not firing? - Metra 2000 Chevy Tracker/Metro/Prism

Rotation is different between 8 and 16 valve engines. See picture.

open hood , look to drivers side fire wall look for a small black cap ,it will look like a very small brake fluid resivior

timing of what, cam or spark,..... why not say the JOB, so we can be on the same page...>???????

but we use the #4 firing to set the cam..so........??????

8v or 16v , there are 2 engines, for sure.
and both are different. see why here.
1,3,4,2 is both but not the rotor

1.out of gas
2. fuel filter and /or pump (lack of fuel)
3. coil module (no spark)
4. camshaft sensor

daughter drove tracker 50 miles to lake cabin and car stalled as she came into driveway, car turns over but no fireing could this be electronic fuel pump or what fuse or what?

Yes... the 'firing' is the fuel combusting in the chamber being ignited by the spark plugs.... No fuel? no fire.

You need a computer. I just went through the same thing

did you mess with the firing order cables? that could be the problem

You may have an issue with the fuel pump crank circuit, check the ignition switch, I think that may be the problem
