How do you setup scanner

The ArcSoft PhotoImaging suite is just to process and scan images, but the printer hardware itself needs hardware drivers, which contain coded instructions to communicate with your CPU.
This is the HP scanning software.
Printer/Scanner hardware should have a driver setup disk that came with it.
If you have this disk:
shut down PC
unplug printer
boot PC
uninstall the current version, if in start>control panel>programs
restart PC
install driver from disk or downloaded driver file for your model.

Restart the PC and the scanner and try again. Make sure you installed the right drivers, make sure that the PC see's the scanner, check devise MGR and look under printers, interface devise.

the reset code is 1122 in case that helps

Hello,
go to printer folder
click right mouse button on printer icon and select "use this printer online"
If your printer still wont print check communication cable.
At last, try to reinstall printer driver.

This error message means your have some type of malware on your computer. Could be spyware, a trojan, or a fake rouge anti-virus. You'll need to download a good virus scanner and anti-malware scanner. I like avast anti-virus and malwarebyes anti-malware. You may also need a stand alone fix if its any variation of vundo. then, WinFax should automatically detect the scanner. Setup the scanner under Tools, Program Setup. Scanner.

I had the same problem on XP and Vista and it turns out that if your don't have the HP Toolbox Running/starting up with pc this caused my problem. Once I lunched it to startup with I am able to scan using the Scan To Button on my Scanner.
