My Kodak scanner ESP7250 stopped suddenly. where is all the material scanned so far?

I was scanning a book of 324 pages. I had 10 pages left and it stopped. Error: cable not connected properly! but upon checking all was well. I clicked OK and the screen disappeared. In the new screen I am looking for 3 hours of work but cannot find it. where is it?

How do you stop a test page from printing every time the printer is turned on?

Welcome to FixYa!

Here's how to stop the unwanted print out of test pages.

1. Let the printer print the test page.
2. Place the printed test page in the scanner face down and wait for 10 seconds.
3. Press the scan button of the printer to scan the printed test page.
Make sure that the printer scanned the document properly.

That's it. Every time you install a new cartridge, the printer aligns the print cartridge as well as testing/aligning the scanner.

Note: Try to look at the top of the test page, it should have instructions to place it in the scanner.

I hope that this will help.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Several pages are feed at time

Depending on the usage of the scanner, you can try cleaning first. Kodak recommends rollers be replaced every 125,000 scans.
1. Open the scanner and use compressed air to gently clean the rollers. If that does not help, use cotton swabs with alcohol to clean off any residue left on the rollers.
2. Replace the rollers. Part numbers can be found here: parts You can order the replacement parts directly from Kodak: 1-800-822-1414 (8AM - 8PM ET)

Can i get front and back side of pages scanned at a time, if yes then how? how can i scan a book of 50 pages by giving one command?

What scanning software are you using? In Adobe Acrobat Professional 9, you can set up different scan profiles, including duplex scanning. The sheet feeder holds up to 50 pages; you just tell the software to make all pages one pdf.

I have a Kodak AIO 5 printer and Windows 7. I

This is easily accomplished using Kodak AIO Home Center v5.3:

Scanning documents from Home Center
1 On the main screen, click Scan Documents and Pictures.

4 Select the type of document you are scanning.
5 Select a Resolution for your scan from the drop-down list.
6 Select Perfect Page Technology to automatically correct imperfections in the scan.
7 Select Next.
8 On the Edit screen, edit each image as needed.
9 Click Next.
10 Select Save to File, then select Save As (pdf or rtf), Then Save.

High pitch scream after i260 scans a few pages. Scanning stops

the main board in that scanner is going bad which is why its making the high pitch sound. Time to get another scanner or call Kodak and get a replacement scanner or go back to the store where you got it from and get a new one.

Solid black line when scanning or copying from KODAK ESP-3

Get a damp soft cloth and clean the scanner glass. If that doesn't resolve the issue there is a chance the scanning unit itself is damaged.
Let me know.

Kodak i260 Scanner

This is practically impossible. This can happen only when the file is over written! Check your software settings. May be you have selected 'multipage' option. Try scanning one page and two pages (same sheet). If the file size is different, then it means two files are scanned.

Reload your Driver and check your scanning software. I am assuming you are usning winXP/Win 2000.

Acrobat 8.1

Upgrade to Acobat 9.0 Pro. It seems to work in that can scan pages for a document, HOWEVER, adding/appending to already scaned pages for a document seems to crash 9.0. For example, say I scan in pages 1 - 4. I cannot then scan pages 5 -6 as part of the same document--crashes Acrobat.

I think this finally proves the problem is Acrobat 8.0 and NOT the i40 drivers.
