It is difficult to operate most electricals without a manual or remote nowadays! What make model TV is it?

First, Cold-Start the machine, unplug, remove battery, hold down on.off button for 30 sec., leave battery out, plug in try to boot normally, is the HDD led blinking? OR, System restore/recovery. At the Coby logo screen appears, press and hold the F7 key to start system recovery, follow instructions. OR remove HDD test, replace if necessary.

To unlock the remote control function do the following.
On the front pane touch control pad

1 Press MENU to display the MENU screen, and then
press VOL[--/+] to select "System Options".

2 Press CH [UP/DOWN] to select "Operation Lock Out", and
then press INPUT.
3 Press CH UP/DOWN] to select "Off", and then press INPUT
4 Press MENU to exit.

• To unlock the buttons on the TV, press MENU on the

remote control, and then select "Off" in "Operation Lock
Out".

To change batteries remove panel back of key then screws on plastic bar
Batteries are available from your local motor factor shop
You might not need new batteries try re programing as described above

The code 10178 worked for my coby 3225 on my DirecTV R64 remote.

1: Defective door lock switch
2: Defective electronic control board.

Get model and serial number of machine, enter model number on search engine and seek same like conditions. You should find solution to problem, or place model number here for me to correctly tell what is wrong.

Coby is not listed. You need to do a search as follows:
On the remote control pressTV on
Press set and hold until LED blinks twice, then release SET
Enter 9 - 9 - 1. The LED will blink twice
Aim remote control at the TV& slowly alternate between pressing POWER and TV. Stop when the TV turns off.
Note: Om search mode the remote will send IR codes from its library to selected device, starting with the most popular codes first.
To lock in the code, press & hold SET until LED blincks twice, then release SET.
To search for codes for your other devices repeat above steps for approperate device.
