Does anyone know if there are Windows Vista drivers available for the P5VD2-MX SE

I am currently running windows Vista but cannot find any Vista drivers for the onboard Graphics chipset. I can't even find the name of the drivers I need, I think it may be S3G. I have been to the ASUS website and there is no mention of Vista (like it doesn't even exist)

Please help. I found the drivers by simply googling "HD audio Vista drivers" but the graphics are much harder to find.

I need windows Vista sound driver for Asus P5VD2-MX SE motherboard.

There seems to be no solution for this problem. There is no effort of making a working driver for the sound on this mobo...... NOT something you'd expect from ASUS. Next time maybe MSI? Sorry but I'm losing my belief in their quality this way!

Chase down your chipset. Then go to the VIA site and get the Vista drivers. The Vista drivers for the Asus P5VD2 MX SE is available here : http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=36&CatID=2900&SubCatID=169

For others try here : http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2

Audio Asus P5VD2-MX windows 7

Sorry to tell you that motherboard does not offically support windows 7 as such no drivers exist for it. If you can make it work great. Otherwise ASUS would be ha[ppy to sell you a new motherboard that will support windows 7 or even windows 8

I just install windows 7 os but no dislplay where can I download an vga driver for Asus P5VD2-MX se

this motherboard is not on asus's list of windows seven supported motherboard, which doesn't mean it doesn't work. use this link to asus's download page: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us if you are using windows 7 32bit version , use the vista 32bit display driver . if your using the the 64bit win7 version, download and install the vista 64bit drivers.

8400GS graphics card installed causing sound distortion

You do know you can increase your integrated video's memory in the bios. Up to 1GB. (Yes, I know you currently only have 1GB of system memory) but you can kick it up to 128Mb & Vista should still run.
Your 1GB system memory is shared with the on-board video card.
I'd like you to clean out the PCI-E slot with some cotton swabs & house hold Alcohol. (do not over soak the swabs). Clean the pny's copper contacts as well. Get a really strong flash light & look into the PCI-E slot & look for dust, dirt & check the copper connectors are not bent or twisted. Re-install the PCI-E card & set the bios back to PCI-E. Try again. Even if the system reverts to weird, install the 8400's software & driver. Re-start the system. See if the system runs normal. Also would not hurt to check for Window's updates. After all that, if system does not function normally I suspect there is something wrong with the 8400 card.

Good luck & let me know if this has helped.
Have a great day.
