I need to restore my computer without disc, what should I write in command prompt?

Fix #3: Use bootrec.exe to rebuild the BCD

The partition boot sector is stored on the hard disk drive and contains the necessary code to start the Windows boot process. If this partition is corrupt or not properly configured during a Windows install it would lead to "BOOTMGR is missing or corrupt" errors at startup.
This method needs a copy of your original Windows installation disc.
Here are the steps to fix this error using the bootrec.exe tool, the same tool used in Fix #4 above:

1. Insert the Windows 7 or Vista install disc
2. Restart your computer and boot from the disc

Reset Your Windows Password Using the Command Prompt

1. Boot your computer using your Windows installation disc.
2. Wait for the setup files to load, and select your language. Click Next.
3. Click the Repair your computer link on the Install Windows screen.
4. Select the operating system to repair, and note the drive letter on which the OS is installed (it is probably C: or D:). Click Next.

Sounds like you need to run the check disk utiltity but since you don't have a CD Drive, you're up the creek without a paddle. try booting up into Safe Mode and if you get there successfully reboot and see if the normal mode works, if not you can uninstall Microsoft Security Essential in Safe mode. Or you can use System Restore to restore back to a point (date and time) when the system was working ok. Click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore and select a restore point before you loaded Security Essentials. In Windows 7 just click Start then type System Restore in the search box above the start then look at the returned results and click System Restore.

System Restore does not lose any of your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the programs was installed after the date and time you selected).

To get into safe mode follow the steps below:

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or a operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from it. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white letters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice the percentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run to completion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows. Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair when the options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recovery console and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

You can try to get to a dos command prompt or you can see if the system will allow you to boot in Safe Mode to get to the dos command prompt.

System Restore restores the previous Windows configuration, and then restarts the computer. Then click OK on the System Restore Restoration Complete page.
If all the steps above fails you need to use the recover disc or the operating system disc to do a repair on your computer. Revert back in case you need steps for using start-up repair.
Note: If the steps above and start-up repair fail there's no other option but to restore your computer to factory settings.

2.When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.

3.If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the installation that you must access from the Recovery Console.

5.At the command prompt, type chkdsk /r , and then press ENTER.

6.At the command prompt, type exit , and then press ENTER to restart your computer.

If the above process fails to restore the system then in the number

5 step use fixboot command instead of the chkdsk /r command.

That error code sounds like the Hard Drive is failing or has failed. Can you boot into Safe Mode? Hit F8 as you power up and choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt. If you can, enter chkdsk /r at a command prompt (the black window you'll see). You say you can't boot from the restore disk - why not? Are you booting to the green Dell Windows XP disc that shipped with the computer? Check the boot order in Setup (the BIOS) and make sure it looks to the CD drive first before trying to boot to the hard drive. First, make sure there are no discs in any of the drives as this could disrupt the boot process. Prior to seeing the HP screen you should get a prompt as to press F10 to go into system setup. Once in system setup choose the option to go to system restore or system recovery. From there you should be able to restore your computer to a sytem restore point that was set up with a checkpoint at set intervals by Windows XP. If that is unsuccessful you may have to utilize your recovery discs.
