Check that you haven't increased the printing resolution beyond what is sufficient to print your document.

High resolution vs. draft output will cause you to use a lot more ink and will take at least twice as long to print a page because it is likely printing each line at least twice. This is how full color (photo quality) images are printed. If you don't need a photo to be dark, then set your printer to "Standard" or "Draft" settings.

Why does hp officejet Pro 8600 crashes when printing avery labels?

Avery labels may be blocked on your computer so check your security settings. Other wise you may need to refresh the page, your computer or the printer. If that doesn't help you may need to double check your ink cartridges are full and correctly placed, also that the wires connecting the printer to your computer are all in properly.

I have an HP Laser Jet 2100 and am having problems printing the Avery 5895 Name Badges. The badges have a new design which allows them to pop off the page way too easy and when they are in the printer,...

One has to assume that you are using the manual feed tray (tray 1) to print the labels.
Give Avery a call and let them know what's happening.
In the meantime start using compatible labels from another manufacturer.
Just a thought....you didn't say where the labels are being pulled off the sheet.
If it is at the fuser you can use the rear output bin which gives a straight path thru the printer.

I'm trying to print on 5.5'' x 8.5'' cardstock on my hp c4580 printer but it keeps stating paper size mismatch... any suggestions?

Go into your "printer properties" and select "page layout" there you'll see all the size options. Thanks, Dana P.S. You may also try using the sizecode that is prited on the card wrapping for example; Avery 3757, Avery 1270 etc. etc. Thanks Dana

Avery design pro will not print with my HP C5500

I found an odd workaround. Probably a better one available, but this worked for me. When you select Print from Design Pro, in the printer drop down box select Microsoft XPS Document Writer instead of your printer. Click OK, enter a file name, and save. That will save a .xps file. Next, open the .xps file and print it.

HP C4280 incorrect paper feed

Check your printer's capability.

Buy the card stock they recommend.

If all else fails, print on plain and take card stock to a copy shop and have them do it for you.

Walking there beats going nuts over stupid software or hardware problems

Printing on templates

This is normally set through the page margins within the software you are using not the actual printer settings. MS Word has templates for various Avery labels, but I've found after loading the template you have to fine tune the margins for your printer. Use plain paper to print test pages and hold them over your card stock to check alignment.

Ghost images

Is it from the most recently printed page, or is it the same image avery time regardless of what you print? It sounds like your drum or roller (I'm not sure about the exqact term in english) might be the issue. Have you somehow managed to "force" a printing without paper in the printer?
