Where is theice maker s on/off switch lcaed

Good afternoon friend, thank you for your post!

I see you are asking for the location of the on and off switch for your Frigidaire refrigerator's icemaker. Depending on your model the icemaker off switch will either be the wire arm or a power switch located on the icemaker. If you have the model with the wire arm flipping the arm up will cut off the icemaker and flipping it down will turn it back on. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Ice make has stopped making ice

Try filling the icemaker with a cup of water where the ice is made. Make sure the shut off arm is up. wait like a day. if it does make ice then you water valve needs to be replaced. if it doesnt replace the ice maker. also dont forget to check the tube behind the ice maker. it feed the icemaker with water. if that freezes up then water cant make it to the ice, thus ice maker and valve are fine. get behind the frig at the upper top right behind where the ice maker is but outside back. there is a tube that can be pulled out that is the feeder tube make sure no ice, do this ok?

Icemaker not producing ice

you need to troubleshoot the problem, if the wire arm that tells the ice maker to stop making ice when full is in the upright position the ice maker will not make ice. the problem has to be either the switch on this arm malfunction. but probably in MOST cases it is your electronic water valve which has gone out. this is located on the water supply line on the back of the fridge at the bottom probably behind some cardboard or plastic. it is the same kind of water valve as a dishwasher uses, if it malfunctions it will not deliver water to your tray, manually fill the tray and put the arm down, if the maker dispenses the ice out of the tray, chances are your electronic valve is broken.

I have a whirlpool gold refrigderator model# GS6NBEXRL00 and the ice maker is not producing any water. I replaced the whole ice maker and nothing happened. After unpluging and plugging the fridge back in...

you p robably have a frozen fill tube for the icemaker. coming inot the rear is a tube for dispensing water into the icemaker. check this for ice if it is frozen you can thaw it out by using a blow dryer to melt theice out. on some models this tube comes thru the back wall of the freezer for cross the freezer icemakers there is a black tube that comes out of the ceiling. if you have any questions please post here and I'll get back to ya thanks Peyton

CLR 2060 Clear Ice Maker

just a guess but did you make sure that the fan under the unit is turning? if you don't get rid of the heat at the condensor the freeze tray can't get cold.

Ice maker

This means that the tray is not getting cold enough to freeze the cubes. It must be no more than 12 degrees F for the icemaker to cycle properly.

Make sure your freezer is cold enough. If it is, then the other possibility is that the heater element in the icemaker (which thaws the cubes JUST ENOUGH for them to be pushed out when ready) could be stuck on. This can be easily tested, but the process is a little beyond the scope of this reply. Check this link http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/icemaker/diagicemaker.php

Freezer not cold enough to freeze items solid

Here are some things you can check yourself. Does it run all the time almost non-stop? if so check the vents under the front of the frig and make sure they are clean. Aslo check the condenser coil (either in back of the frig,or under the frig)Make sure that coil is clean. The condenser coil has to have contact with the outside air in order to release the heat it removed from inside the freezer.
Make sure you frig has plenty of ventilation ( wall too close on sides and back) Hope this helped. If not then you should have a pro look at it.

Maytag MS2732GRW ice maker quit

guest make sure your wire arm on icemaker is down same dandcs also for orig poster they have duel water valves one goes to door water one goes to icemaker. icemaker works a general rule more than door water so wears out faster but you have to replace both as they are a unit .other things that will stop ice production are frozen ice fill tube ,bad motor module in icemaker .check that first .if that don't solve it then reply to me and we will get deeper

Ice maker freezing up

If it is only the fill tube that is freezing up, or getting full of ice, than your water valve is leaking (letting drops of water thru to your ice maker and filling the icemaker fill tube up and freezing). If this is the case, replace the dual water valve (part # 1071263) located in the back of the refrigerator, just follow the water line from your wall into the refrigerator. Make sure you turn off the water to the refrigerator and also unplug it. The dual water valve is the one that has two water lines, one going to the icemaker and one going to the water dispenser. On this model, I think you only have one water valve. On some you have two, the primary water valve and a secondary water valve (the dual valve). If this is your case, I would highly recommend you replace both. As far as the Refrigerator side freezing things up, I think that is a whole different issue. Please post back.
