Thank you for your post, Lee!

From the information you have provided you with like to take the caster wheels off in order to allow stability to your Frigidaire dehumidifier. We would not recommend removing the caster wheels. I hope this is helpful and if you should need further assistance please feel free to reconnect. -Matt

Dont know how to hook up the drain pipe

The drain pipe in what? If we are talking about a sink, they sell multi size kits at lowes, home depot and any other hardware store. You need to know the size of the outlet from the sink and the size of the drain pipe you are connecting to.

I have an LG energy star auto start dehumidifier (about 3 years old). It works fine. How can I hook it up to drain into my laundry sink automatically? It would save me the effort of emptying the bucket...

Unfortunately, draining into a laundry sink is not an option. As your model does not have a pump, it relies entirely on gravity to drain with a 48" length of garden hose. A floor drain is the perfect way to go, if you have one.

To further assist you, I have included a llnk to your model, which has been discontinued. You can download and print the manual for future reference if you like.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Can I set my dehumidifier to turn cycle on and off while I am traveling

Normally a dehumidifier will run based on the humidity found in the air in the room it is located in, although many can be set to run all the time.

I don't believe your model can be set to run next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday because you will be home and th NOT run next Friday and Saturday because you will be traveling, for example.

Your machine should run on automatic until the bucket fills with water at which time it should stop running until you empty the bucket. Many buckets offer the feature of adding a drain hose you can run to a drain somewhere. Some people have a floor drain they use for such purposes. Others I have known sit the device on the counter and drain into a sink or in the bath tub and drain that way.

For best dehumidifying results, you should run your machine all the time.

I hope I have answered your quesiton. Thanks for considering FixYa.com

Hose connected to drain, but still leaks water on floor

Had the same problem. Make sure you tighten the house a little with pliers. Also, make sure the dehumidifier is up a lot higher than where you're draining it into. Mine drains into a utility sink. But I have the dehumidifier propped up onto a dresser. I cut a small piece of hose to run into the sink. Seems to be working now.

It will take 5 min or so to establish a water flow, so be patient after you hook everything up. Good luck.

Bucket fills instead of going down the drain

You may have an unintentional trap in the line (an up and down up and down. Hose has to lay flat on floor to drain.

LG dehumidifier won't drain through hose anymore.

Make sure hose is flat with no high or low spots. Blow or **** out hose and pour somr bleach water through hose.

Why doesnt water go though hose ?????

You may have a trap in the line accidently. The hose should make a straight gradual downhill run to a drain area. If it goes up and down up and down it will create a trap that will stop the water. Also try blowing through the line to make sure it is clear. Good luck!

LG dehumidifer want i to empty into a sink is there a means of doing this

not sure what the rest of the sentence was/is but here are a few ideas

'a pump' to push the water from the floor into a sink a few feet above.....NO...unless it is sitting on a counter beside

-if you wish to have automatic emptying....then find a floor drain and a short piece of hose to drain through the plug

Tank still fills when we are using direct drain feature

check to see that the hose isn't clogged, and that the hose runs down hill from the tank all the way to the drain. if it is higher than the tank at any point in its path it will not drain. you may put the dehumidifier on top of a small platform to aid drainage. also check that the knockout removed so there is a hole to let the water go from the tank to the hose?
