It is an old AS60 model, but was working well when I left the house. Now no buttons work and I had to unplug to stop the noise.

you will have to replace the ERC or Electronic Range Control or the touch pad.

if you remove the back panel you can look under there, there should be atrouble shooter/techsheet that will let you know what the flashinglights mean. if not theres a tech support number to aid you as well

i have a similar problem, i plug it in and let it click to its hearts content, it will speed up to a very fast rate then slow down and eventually stop... then the unit will work fine for a couple of days but the clicking will return its not a permanent solution but it works

The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced
