Hi!
E190 e E191 are errors related with reading mistake on Hz and V circle. Commonly, it happen when circle's surface is dirty (dust, smog, condensed moisture).
I don't suggest You try to fix if You are inexperienced. But, if want to try, You must be very carefully when clean the circle glass! Use a small amount of isopropyl alchool and special tissue for optical lens (clean gently!!), and check very well for any residuals. Don't remove the CCD readers for any reasons or unlock painted screws! Tip: before put the cover, check angular reading on the whole horizontal and vertical circle!!

Sokkia total stations are repaired using Sokkia proprietary computer software. You need to return it to a Sokkia shop, no other shop will be able to corect this, not even Topcon (even though Topcon bought Sokkia).

I have sokkia set 350x , and I have a problem with horizontal display E190 , how to fix that problem.. I already send that station for calibration ,but not have any effect..

I have a Set 3B and only have experience with that model. Check that you have the instrument leveled with the bubble just above the display. If very far out of level, the self-leveling feature does not work and the instrument displays an error.

Also, confirm that you have indexed the vertical and horizontal encoders by spinning the scope vertically at least one full turn and horizontally at least one full turn. These are required on startup. I typically spin two turns and hear a "beep" when the index point is passed.

Another poster on Fixya says E190 means a problem with the horizontal encoder and suggests seeing a Sokkia service center.
