I would suspect an issue with the power supply board, maybe even puffed up filter caps on that board---that is the place to begin.

I've been working on Televisions since 1975. I have unfortunily had experience with this model 4 times in the last 2 months. The problem is the same in all sets. First off it is made by Funai in Malaysia and that should tell you the whole story. All the sets that have come through this shop are in the dumpster now. This BLC320EM9 is made just for Wally World and you cann't get parts for them due to a contract between Funai and Wal-Mart. I'm affraid this is just the beginning of your headaches with this set. It has a multitude of other problems... Wish I could have brought you better news. Dan@DBS

you can set up any like this
1. turn on what ever you want set up
2. press and hold set up tell light blinks or stays lit
3. push what you are trying to set up t.v. or dvd ect.
4. push power on/off tell it turns off
5. push enter when it turns off
