It depends if it a pc or laptop you can HBCD 15 OR HIGHER TO CLEAR THE PASSWORD. IF IT IS A CMOS PASSWORD YOU CAN TRY TO CLEAR IT BY TAKING OUT THE CMOS BATTERY AFTER YOU UNPLUG THE COMPUTER OR BY USING THE JUMPER TO CLEAR IT (SOME, BUT NOT ALL).

Only one person is supposed to know your password. If you forgot it, when logging in, on that page is a button, forgot password or something like that. Press the button and you will get an email, on the address you gave the site while setting up your account. Follow the instructions in the mail and everything will be ok in just a few minutes.
If someone hacked your account and did change the settings, you don't get an e-mail, you won't be able to claim the account. You have to setup a new account.
Use the forgot password button and enter your email/username (i don't know lol). Then, go to your Email, you should get a email about it. then, go on it, and presto! enter your new password in and there you go, your done!
This sounds fishy from the start. How would Microsoft know if someone hacked your email account? As far as I know, MS don't go around detecting hacked accounts and closing them down. Secondly, what info were you verifying, where and to whom? Sounds like you might have accidentally given all your personal details to a phishing scam email pretending to be from MS. If you still have time, go to the hotmail website and click I cannot get access to my account and try to use the zecondary email address to retrieve your password. Failing that, you can maybe answer the secret question you setup.
I think this simple-to-follow Wikihow should do the trick. That's how I found out the user and pass to my PC when I forgot the password. This works for the PC you're trying to hack into.
