How To Change Bulb In Sewing Machine

if you don't have the accessory that looks like a short piece of rubber hose used to remove and reinstall the bulb, take the machine to an authorized Viking repair dealer and ask them to install a new bulb.

use the tool in your accessory box, otherwise take the machine to your authorized Viking dealer and have them put a new bulb in.

For the one light bulb that is located over the free arm. Put your finger nails on the back edge of the light cover and pull slightly forward and downward, and the cover will come off. You can then pull the bulb straight out. For the light bulb over the needle area. You must pull the light cover straight down toward the pressure foot to get access to the bulb.

There are two lights on the machine, 1 over the needle and one in the center of the arm. If either light is bad the other will not work so make sure you have 2 good bulbs.

Make sure the bobbin winder isnt engaged this can cause the clutch to engage and the motor will run but the machine wont sew
