Not necessarily. There should be some type of light on the charger- green means charged, red or orange, not charged.

If no light comes on, it's the charger.

It takes a while for the orange light to come on. Maybe a few hours.

After the third peg charger failed I took it apart and found that the plate with the pins on that slides onto the main body wasn't making a good connection. So I wedged some aluminium foil in the grooves over the back of the pins. This worked for me.

How long does it take to charge my peg perego batteries, and is it possible to overcharge them?

A peg perego battery typically charges for 8-12 hours. Though in the short run it won't hurt to leave the battery plugged into the charger after the light on the charger turns green, it could wear out the battery if you do this continually. Peg perego john deere tractor charger indicator light does not light up and tractor does not take a charge - brand new

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show
any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in

Peg perego 6 volt battery charger light wont come on

check it with a multimeter and see if its putting out any voltage, specifically 7.2 volts, it could be just that the led is bad on the charger but its still charging

have you checked the battery with a multimeter to make sure that it is showing some power? you can get a multimeter at your local hardware store for around $10. The peg perego batteries have a known issue wth the batteries coming disconnected under the blue plastic housing

I have a peg perego polaris quad that someone gave me, They said I just needed a new battery which I got, plugged it in today, does not work. The battery comes charged as far as I can tell, the green...

check the sharger with a multimeter to make sure that its putting out enough volts, Is it a 6v or 12v quad, also i've seen alot of peg perego batteries where the wires on the battery itself have come disconnected under the plastic housing, you can use an auto body panel trim removal tool to pop the plastic piece on one side of the battery to check and see if the wires are connected

When the battery is fullly charged will the light on the charger go off or turn a different color other than green

i've seen so many of these batteries where when you plug in the charger the light stays green, theres three possible reasons for this
1. Charger is not putting out enough volts. check the charger with a multimeter and make sure that its putting out at least 13.8 volts
2. the battery connectors uner the blue plastic housing have come disconnected. you'll have to pop off on side of the battery and reconnect then
3. dead battery. replace the battery

Peg perego 12v charger question

The green light means it is ready to use. If the battery is bad though, the light will still be green.
