HOw do I refit the handle on a hotpoint SY36w oven door please?

Most oven doors handles are held in by screws from the inside of the door. Inside the front side of the door, so you need to remove the inside of the door to get at them. You should be able to remove the door from the oven or at least lock it in the down position. Carefully remove the screws and pay attention to which screws goes where. Then remove the back, tighten the screws holding the handle in and replace the back Document or take pictures/video of what you do to make sure everything goes back where it should. Ba careful with the glass.

How to remove oven door maytag gas precision touch control 700

most oven doors can be removed by opening the door until its about 1/4 open, or when it will stay open part way. when the door is in this position you should be able to just lift it off the hinges straight up. make sure you dont accidently push the "arms" of the door back in, as they are spring loaded and are hard to get back out, especially when the dorrs is removed. When done just slide back on the way you took it off.

How do i put the oven door back on after i removed it to obtain measurements. now i can not get the door back on

I had the same problem today I found that you have to extend the hindge enough to have the lock tabs lock into the door to hold the hindge in the extend mode. If the tabs are not back in the door it will continue to snap back. After you lay the door in place be sure to extend the lock tabs back up into the oven side towards the pins that you hindge lay on. I have preloaded the replacement hinge, but it appears that to remove the old hinge it must be unloaded. If that is true, how do you load the new hinge while it is on the door?

Ovens come in many varieties including freestanding units and stacked models that are inserted into a wall. Kitchen oven units that get a lot of use or are getting old may have problems develop, such as a loose or squeaky door which may require replacing the hinges. You can replace the hinges on the door to your oven by first removing the door from the rest of the oven.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Screwdriver
  1. Step 1 Open the oven door and examine the hinges to see how the they are secured to the door. Some oven doors slide into the hinge assembly or have a locking mechanism that secures the door to a latch on the main unit.
  2. Step 2 Remove the door from the oven by disengaging the locking mechanism and then pull the oven door out. You may need to release a catch on the door or remove a pin from a hole in the hinge.
  3. Step 3 Place the door on a flat surface such as a table or the floor.
  4. Step 4 Remove the screws that hold the sections of the door together to access the hinges.
  5. Step 5 Remove the hinges from the door. The hinges may be attached to the door with screws or they may be held in place when the door sections are tightened or secured.
  6. Step 6 Insert the new hinges into the door and secure them with the screwdriver or place the section of door back on. Tighten all of the screws securing the sections together.
  7. Step 7 Place the oven door back into place by sliding it on the same way that it came off.

How to put oven door back on after removing!

Although very tight (because the oven is only 1 yr old) i managed to get the hinges into the open position, then slide the door into position on the oven and close the door. The hinges did go back and lock as they should but I struggled for almost 30 mins before success.
