A commen problem is flooding the engine.
A good way to start it is to press the fuel pump balloon three times choke it. pull once...pust the choke back in so that its stops choking and give it a few swings then it should start.
i am asuming you have put the on of switch to on.

Saw runs fine for about 15 minutes, then the idle speeds up,then it dies, almost like it is flooding

Do aclean or overhaul of all fuel components.Change the spark plug or the coil aka=spark plug cable. But if your saw in lees the 2 yrs you need to follow the starting guide in order to avoid flooding.

If you need more help come back.Post / thumbs / testimonial are welcome!

Brand new 359 chainsaw won't start

As this is a brand new chainsaw, DO NOT start taking it apart and tinkering with it, for the simple reason that it is covered by the Husqvarna warranty and you should be able to have it either repaired or replaced without cost to you!

Here's the web link for Husqvarna customer support. You can also contact the place you purchased it from, as they should be an authorized dealer in order to sell the Husqvarna chainsaw products.

http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/customer-support/

IF, you bought this from a friend, etc., it would still be covered if it's new and unused when you purchased it.

That is the best recommendation you can get for resolving your issue and to keep your warranty valid.

Since without more detailed information, (gas is flowing into carb, spark plug getting spark, good compression, plug not fouled, on/off switch not malfunctioning, kick back/chain bfreak working, etc., etc.), no one can possibly provide an answer to resolve the issue.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
