You'll have to get a VGA to HDMI Adapter, or a USB to HDMI adapter, or any adapter that's compatible with s-video, data cable, or any input on your tv as long as it has a HDMI adapter. See the pics for a few examples!
Does the TV have an HDMI port on the back of the TV? Example: DVD player HDMI out to TV HDMI in. then on the TV select input and choose the HDMI port number you connected the cable to on the TV
What device are you connecting to the TV? Are you using an HDMI to HDMI cable or a DVI to HDMI cable (or another adapter in the cable or between the cables)?
Try using a different cable. Try connecting the source device to another TV. Basically, you want to see whether the TV's HDMI input is bad, the device output is not active, or if the cable is bad (or an adapter attached to the cable is bad). Adapters are likely failure points. If you are using a DVI to HDMI cable, check your cable and device specs. Single-link and dual-link DVI are different and not interchangeable when attached to an HDMI cable end.
I hope this helps.
Cindy Wells (some computers (esp. laptops) will have external video ports turned off by default and you need to turn them on before you try to send the output to an external monitor (TV).)
RX-V365 doesn't support sound over HDMI. It can switch the video+audio from HDMI in to HDMI out, but can't play the sound through the speakers. You need to connect the audio separately via optical or coax digital cable.
