Cant receive faxes. constant busy signal when dialing in.

Hi Janet
Try using a standard phone to call your Fax Line
Connect a phone to this Line to test for voice
Disconnect Fax Machine from Phone Line
Reset Fax machine
The Fax machine is supposed to respond to the right tones being sent down the voice line
If it is not responding & all else works then check your Fax settings for "Receiving"

Line no 4 is always showing co in use

When you press PROGRAM and CO4, what does the display say? A Panasonic TA series system starts with 3 lines. If you're trying to access line 4 and you don't have it, you might get that display, or line 4's button may be assigned to something else. Last, try unplugging the phone system cabinet and plugging it back in. That will reset all calls.

I have 824 installed at my office, with three CO lines. All CO lines were working OK, but one out of them can not be selected now, and any body dialling from outside to that number gets a busy tone. In...

If the CO line works properly when disconnected from your system KSU, something in the KSU is keeping that line off-hook. If the trouble isn't caused by a phone that's holding the line, try resetting the KSU by shutting it off and unplugging it from the AC line. Reconnect the power and turn the system back on. This should clear up the problem if it was due to the controller being confused, which can sometimes happen. If the system picks the line again and holds it, check the phones for one with a stuck line select button. Then you'll need to have the KSU serviced if the trouble continues.

I bught a kx-ta824, I just have one CO line and i want to put 4 extensions , but i couldn't. I can just recive 1 call and then the line sounds busy.

With one CO line you can only make or receive one external call at a time. You can have extensions connected on intercom calls, but once your CO line is in use, anyone calling in will get a busy signal, as will anyone in the office trying to make an outside call. You'll need additional CO lines if you want to have several outside calls going on at once.

Group forwarding after a delay

In memory block 4-1 for the extension's port, The Lkey for the CO line is lit green for immediate ringing, red for delayed ringing, and off for no ringing.

In memory block 1-1-77 you enter the CO's delayed ringing timer in seconds.

I wouldn't try and deal with seperating into tenants.

What I would suggest is in 4-19 restrict outbound trunk access (corresponding Lkey for CO line is lit to restrict)
For example:
Stations 1-4 would not be allowed to dial out on CO lines 5-6
Stations 5-6 would not be allowed to dial out on CO lines 1-4

This way Company A is not tying up Company B's CO lines for outbound calls and vice-versa.

Caller ID Screen not working

Sorry it took so long to reply to your problem. You must try to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you must disconnect the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set without any power source for about 3 hours. This should completely drain all the power from the microprocessor. After this is done, reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If they do not return to normal. Unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Replace the internal Battery (CR2430). Let the Clock/Radio again drain all the power from the microprocessor. Insert the new battery and Plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If you should still be having problem with the functions of the Clock/Radio, you will need to call Emerson Customer Support. The telephone number for Emerson Customer Support is 1-800-909-1240. Call them between the hours of 8am-4:30pm CT. Give them the make and model number of the Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem. I hope this information help you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
