Why does split unit blow hot air in air con. mode when switched on with remote control?

When switched on manually it blows cold air and the thermostat doesn't kick in, so we have to maintain the temp.at 28?C!!

It would be really inconvenient to have to keep the air conditioner running at 28 degrees. Mine doesn't have a remote control, but it blows hot air on the AC setting and cold air on the furnace setting. We might have the same problem, but I'm going to have an air conditioner repair service take care of my unit. http://www.wbrandaircon.com.au/automotiv...

PTAC Blows Cold Air in Heating Mode when it reaches -3F less than the Set Value on the Thermostat - Model: AZ65H15DABW6

It sounds like your PTAC (packaged terminal air conditioner) unit is malfunctioning. When the thermostat is set to heating mode, the PTAC should be blowing warm air, not cold air. There are a few possible causes for this issue:
  1. The PTAC may be low on refrigerant. If the unit is low on refrigerant, it may not be able to properly heat the air.
  2. The PTAC's reversing valve may be stuck in the cooling position. The reversing valve is responsible for switching the flow of refrigerant between heating and cooling mode. If it is stuck in the cooling position, the PTAC will blow cold air even when the thermostat is set to heating mode.
  3. The PTAC's heating element may be malfunctioning. If the heating element is not functioning properly, the PTAC will not be able to heat the air.
I recommend contacting a trained HVAC technician to diagnose and fix the issue with your PTAC. They will be able to determine the cause of the problem and repair it properly.

Why does the split unit blow hot air in air conditioner mode, when switched on with the remote control.

because you have the temperature set at 28 degrees celcuis . Change the temperature to 18 degrees and it will cool 28 is hotter
It is a reverse cycle air conditioner it will warm the room if you set temperature to 28 degrees . Set it lower and it will blow out cold air.
Have exact same air conditioner as I recognise the remote control.
point it at the air conditioner when altering the temperature setting.
Check under the slide compartment also on the remote for more advanced settings.

My Honeywell thermostat isnt keeping my house cool even though the temp is set to 69. Currently 90 degrees in here

Its probably not the thermostat. The air conditioner may be stuck on heating mode. If its a reverse cycle, the reversing valve may be jammed so even when the thermostat is calling for cold air, it stays on heat. If the machine is on heating mode, it should be blowing cold air out of the outdoor unit of the air con. If its on cooling mode, the outdoor should be blowing hot air.

K so I have replaced all of the blend air motors and then also have changed out the thermostat on my 93 gmc sierra and also have changed heater core out and it still blows out cold air I can switch where...

Check to make sure the motors are moving hot to cold. The blinking control panel means it has self diag mode. Google how to get the heater control panel to go into self diag mode and when you get codes goggle them too . Prob bad control panel switch or unit

Fijitsu wall mounted split system operation and timer lights are flashing, and the air con is not blowing cold air, only like fan operating even in cool mode.

This the common problem with all a/c holders. Without knowing the function of Timer on and Timer off, if it's pressed the unit will start only at setting time.

Please remove the battery from your remote and reset it. And then with use of your manual, set the timer if you need., otherwise normal function will be activated.

We have a fujitsu air con model ast9lsbcw which blows cold air from the outside unit and the inside unit is not cooling the room.

Sounds like you have it in heating mode or it is low on charge. In cooling mode, the outside fan should blow hot air not cold.

20 year old central a/c heater not working

Check your thermostat and mode selector setting, thermostat setting should be set at warmer and mode selector setting should be at low heat or hight this is applicable for manual unit.
If it is a remote control just set the remote to heat mode.
