Probably because you have not selected the appropriate "INPUT" (DVD/VCR, etc) from your remote. It plays the DVD you put in but you cannot watch it on your TV because you have not selected the right A/V input source. Hre is a link to the user's manual.

To start try downloading updated codecs for Windows Media player, and install them onto the new laptop.

Use this link to download updated codes:Free-Codecs.com :: Download latest audio codecs

If that is not enough also update Windows Media Player on the new laptop. Link is below.

Updating codecs should fix the problem already.

My handycam dvd105 doesnt play sound. not sure why.

If the sound plays when you capture the video to the computer then I can tell you for sure that the internal speaker of the camcorder have failed. Replacing the speaker should resolve the problem. Please get me your zipcode so that I can find you a local tech who can do the job for you.

When the flip is turned on it plays all videos. We can't stop the play. We can't click record. It just keeps playing all videos. Thanks for any help available...

may i know what's the exact model of your device , well if you have a MINO you can actually reset by holding the power button for 10secs or press and hold the reset button located at the very bottom where the tripod mount is using a pin or a paper clip and check again if it works , if it's an ULTRA , trying chaging the batteries ( you can take the batteries out , just make sure that it" unlocked " at the bottom , and you can just slide down the cover just below the " lens " ) OR take batteries out from the camcorder and put it back after couple of seconds . Hope it works or better call the flip video tech support so they can assist you further :)

This sounds like an LCD break-down check your camera settings to put all back into normal mode eg filters, if that does not work could you pop camera into a Dr like Jessolk to give it a look over?

My JVC DR-MV150B plays prerecorded VHS tapes fine.

Try opening the front hatch of the tape by pressing the small, square button on the right or left (short) side of the tape. Check the black tape inside for any marks, dirt, scratches, tears, etc. If the tape is fine then your unit needs to be cleaned with a tape cleaner available at any electronics specialty or retail store. I own sony camcorder model TRV 238. Once I play the cassette it gives me error code c 31 . 22. with the dialogue reinsert the cassette. I tried all the available option in manual. They did not work. kindly...

Error C:31:22 means problem means that System Control is not getting Take-up Reel pulse. This can be electronic or mechanical problem in camcorder.

Qualified camera tech will fix it properly.

you will need to connect your camcorder to the pc and depending on what software you use there should be an option to grab the video to a file i have only ever used one sort of software and that was years ago but i think windows movie maker will do what you require if you dont have any other software obviosly there should be an option in the camcorder to for this as well
