A box stating not optimum mode-get distorted internet images

Get a new internet browser, download Firefox from here:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2031.0.exe

Then make sure your computer time clock is correct, you can adjust the time and date by right clicking on the clock and then read the rest.

If that doesn't work you need to check your wifi router, you might need to unplug it for 1 minute then plug it back in.

If that doesn't work you need to check your Proxy settings in Internet Explorer. Do this by opening IE, then go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Uncheck all boxes then click Apply/Ok and exit IE and try again.

Just use Firefox, it is much better than IE, for many reasons.

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies. Sometimes, temporary files in the cache will interfere with web browsing.

In IE 8:

1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
   

2. Click the Safety button, and then click Delete Browsing History.
   

3. Select the check box next to each category of information you want to delete.
   

4. Select the Preserve Favorites website data check box if you do not want to delete the cookies and files associated with websites in your Favorites list.
   

5. Click Delete. (This could take awhile if you have a lot of files and history.) Close IE8 and reopen a new window.
   

6. In the new window, type the web address to Shutterfly.

In Firefox 4,

How to clear the cache The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing.

1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options
2. Select the Advanced panel.
3. Click on the Network tab.
4. In the Offline Storage section, click Clear Now.
   
   
5. Click OK to close the Options window. Close Firefox 4 and then reopen a new window. Type the shutterfly address in the address bar to see if the issue is resolved.

Open your Internet Explorer,
Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections "Tab" -> LAN Settings -> Proxy server, uncheck the box -> OK

Restart your Browsers ie IE or Firefox, you don't need the proxy server if your are a home users.

that should work elseif you are using IE 8 then try to update or reinstall the IE 7 on your computer - do only if you able to go online on Firefox.

In the current version of Firefox the method remains largely unchanged. Open Firefox, click on TOOLS (on the menu bar at the top), click on ADD-ONS, and when the new window opens up (provided you're connected to the internet), you can click on the "Get add-ons" button at the top left. Immediately below that button you'll see a search box where you can type a particular add-on name (like Adblock, FastestFox, Ghostery, IE Tab 2, Image Zoom, or dozens of other highly useful programmes) or you can click the link on the right side of the box which says "Browse All Add-ons", which will open a new browser page allowing you to search for all your favourites, or something wonderful and new.

Check your internet settings in IE & Firefox. Make sure there isn't anything checked off that would prevent you from browsing. Also check your Internet & Network connections in Control Panel. I had this problem once myself with Firefox and I actually had to System Restore back a week because something I downloaded had a Trojan and infected my browsers. Reinstall Mozilla Firefox and then it will work fine.

Have you tried to view the images in Firefox to see where the problem lies? if firefox is clear I would suggest you reinstall you IE by inserting your Operating Disk.

Visit your Internet Options, use control panel or right click on your IE icon in your desktop. Under Connection tab, go to LAN Setting and make sure it is set to "Automatically detect settings"

Have you tried to use a different browser to rule out IE (that has not been previously installed on PC)? Try Firefox (I prefer IE BTW), and if your internet starts working you know that it's your browser's. Also, you can check to make sure that there are no proxies setup in your IE. Click on Tools > Internet Options > Connection tab > LAN Settings (at the bottom) - once in LAN Settings, uncheck all the boxes.
