After a complete charge, our vaccum will only run for one minute, then stop. the model is: SV780-FS. we turn it on again and it stops in even less time. Would you have a suggestion? Thankd George

It's sounds like a bad battery. Try taking the battery to a auto parts store or tool store to have them test it.

Oreck vaccum cleaner runs about 4 or 5 minutes then shuts down.

this means you have a blockage somewhere on the vac

It runs for 5 mintues then quits. turns back on after an hour or so to run for another 5 min.

Your motor getting hot. Replace your filters.

Steam Vaccum won't switch on

it sounds like your thermal fuse went out and u have to open it up ant test the fuse with a multimeter...I had the same problem and had to replace the thermal fuse...I ordered a fuse(sf188e) from ebay...cut the old one out and soldered in the new one...hope this helps.

The burning odour will be from an over heating motor ( overload switch is cutting in )
have it checked out by an accredited service agent for the machine
