My GE stainless steel 1100 watt microwave starts beeping out of the blue and the display panel shuts off and when I open the door it resets itself and then starts to beep when I close the door again.

Try removing the power cord for about a minute, push all the touch pad 'buttons' and then plug it back in. If this doesn't work it sounds like you may have a bad door interlock switch or a bad PCM .. Good luck !

How do I turn off the sound on my new Kenmore Elite microwave?

I Believe this model has an options button with codes by numbers which are 1 thru 6 I believe. Either 1 or 2 are sound. So hit the options button and hit the number 1 it should say (sound), Then you will hit 1 again a.k.a. mute, and no more beep beep beep. If 1 is not sound then you may have accidently created a small but deadly emp, so hit stop and you must hit options and then hit 2.

The keypad is acting crazy sometimes it will just beep for a long time. When it is done cooking the signal goes on and on and when you try to use it the keys don't always work or they beep for a prolonged...

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes then try again.

In order to solve the problem this is what I did (with a help of Mr. Hilik
@ www.microgal.co.il)
1. Unplug the power cable 220Vac from the wall outlet.
2. Make sure or the clock led is "off" and screen is dark
3. Plug again the power cable 220Vac
4. Nothing comes "on" on the led screen
5. press on the digit "zero" (0) and you hear a beep signal
6. Take a glass filled with water press on the digits "1" and then "0" and
then "start"
7. After 10 seconds the beep signal will come on again.
8. Note: this kind a phenomena appears after voltage cut off when there
is a need to lift up again the handle on the voltage breakers . FYI.

What is the code for unlocking the radarange ?

If the childproof lock has been set and you want it off, press and hold the "0" button for four seconds. You will then hear a beep-beep and your microwave is ready to use again.

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour.

Otherwise, it sounds like your "defrost" key on the keypad may be shorting.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

GE xl 1800 beep

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a minute, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Let us know if the hard reset doesn't fix it.
