E:04" on the washing machine. Check to ensure there is no water in the tub. This is a common error often associated with too many suds blocking the pump. It is caused by using the wrong laundry detergent which is not designed for high-efficiency washers. You can adjust your use of detergent and reset the machine to eliminate the error code.

Only use these remotes to lock my car. Alarm keeps going off when no one is around. Any idea why?

hi

alarms normally activate when they are trigged

do you have a bonnet door or boot switches connected to the alarm system

you have to eliminate each switch

open one door at a time and hold down the switch

lock the car with the remote if it gos off its not that door

move on to the next door and repeat the process

if it does the same thing with all the doors there working properly

go to the boot or trunk and hold down the switch if it gos off thats good

go to the bonnet or hood and hold down the switch if it gos off you thats good have eliminated all switches

if at any time any one of them dosent go off you have found the problem

try that first

Random door locking

theres 1 thing I can think of, if you put your key in the door 2 unlock it and hold the key 2 the unlock position for a few seconds all the doors should unlock, well the electronics inside the door panel that control that is probably bad or shorting out causing the doors to lock . You can also hold the key 2 the lock position for a few seconds and lock all the doors

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed/locked' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

2005 Chevrolet Silverado Automatic door locks

I assume you mean that the central locking system will not lock the doors but you can do so manually.

Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.

On each rear door, lock and unlock the mechanism manually a couple of times. In other words do not use the key pad.

Then leave both rear doors in the locked position (manual locking) and operate the lock button on you key pad to operate the central locking system. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad and a few seconds later hit lock on your key pad.

If the system fails to lock your rear doors you will need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician to check out the issue and rectify it for you. There are a number of possible causes which cannot be identified without physically checking the system. So you will need to have this rectified by a professional.

Automatic door locks will not lock rear doors, they open fine when manually locked but will not lock with switch key fob or when put in gear.
