Canon isensys MF8180C show System Error E100 while printing operation.

Either you need ink or your cartridge is defective.

Problem with Canon IR1024 Now the screen is reading System Error E100 PLEASE HELP!!

The Canon 8180 will work with Windows 7 32 bit operating systems only. Their latest ToolBox drivers will also get the USB connected scanner to function. 64 bit Windows 7 users are simply out of luck as the printer is not compatible. Drivers are on Canon's site and easy to access.

The e100 would be a scanner unit error on the print engine. Turn the unit off and wait 10-15 minutes and turn it back on again. If the error comes back I would advise taking it to a repair depot the scanner unit would not be a user replaceable part.

Check the connector of the laser scanner assembly.
Replace the laser scanner assembly.
Replace the DCNT Borad.

Possible mechanical failure or cracked/damaged Primary Fan Duct preventing the Laser Shutter from opening fully.

We had this when using the printer via network cables. The scanner only works with a USB cable and the setup orgram won't recognise until then.
