I was given a phone and would like to change the ring. ??

The problem you are experiencing is that your ringer/speaker is faulty,

The ringer/speaker is what sounds out when your phone is called or you receive a text message

The only solution is to have it changed

the problem can be either of the two options 1) the phone receiver has a mini speaker and ringer inside.if the speaker/ringer has gone short the incoming phone will not produce the ring.in this case phone receiver needs replacement. 2) in the unit phone there is circuit board if any of the ringing side of the component is gone short in the phone the phone will not ring for incoming call.in this case the phone needs replacing as cost of new board is near to new phone. so try changing the receiver first if that does not helps go for new phone. also to get the user guide .in that some trouble shooting instructions are given click this link directly http://www.lg-nortel.com.au/ldp7000ug/ This will help. You can change it in the settings of the contact.

First, call your voice mail. After the messages you will be given a menu to follow. On the Sony Ericsson W350 I went to Personal Options (4) then to Administrative Options (2) and finally Prompt Level (3). After reaching Prompt Level you have the option to shorten or extend the number of rings. At this point I chose to shorten the prompt and then I exitted the system.

It looks like you have a distinctive ring service from your phone company. Change the ring pattern of your fax to its assigned ring pattern (double or triple ring). It could be assigned to 'all rings' right now, that's why your fax is picking up your landline calls as well.

I had this problem once and on my phone I would get one ring and then it would stop. Checking the phone I saw I missed a call. I live in the mountains of Puerto Rico and I believe what is happen is the network plays the rings for the caller but the phone isn't doesn't get the signal or start ringing until 3 or 4 rings later. In other words the caller has already heard 4 or 5 rings and has given up. While you have heard only one ring and when you got to the phone you already missed the call. I told my friends to let it rings more then 5 times before giving up and that worked.

im sorry to say the machine you have does not have DRD distinctive ring detect.
