You cant do that. The only thing I have seen and tried is to create an image of Windows 7 on a thumb drive, and it was not an easy task.
I suggest to get an external DVD drive, plug it into the PC and install. . . . . . . . Hey wait a minute!, I just noticed "my PC has a DVD player only". if its a DVD player and not a CD player, it will read the Windows 7 DVD, you may have to change the Boot Priority setting for the PC to boot from DVD before booting from the hard drive.

If the CD-R/DVD has sound in another computer or player be sure your computer's external speakers are powered and on. Quit the player application that you are using for the DVD. If you are using the computer's internal speakers, or if the external speakers are plugged in and turned on, go to the System Preferences and open the Sound control panel. Be sure that the correct output sources is selected. Open the CD-R/DVD player and see if the sound now works.

Unless the set has EXTERNAL INPUT jacks you are done.

Check the TV by connecting it to an external antenna. If it works well with external antenna, check the input selection done after connecting the DVD player. Check whether Power to the DVD player is pluged in and it has been switched ON.

Many DVD players cannot play just any video files. You can look online at the website for your DVD manufacturer and see if there is a codec pack for your DVD player. If you install a codec pack on your DVD player then you should be able to watch more video formats. Look for one that can do avi, mpeg, mp4, etc files

you can record the output of the DVD player into the input of your DVD recorder, but I think the quality of the recording might be affected. Be sure to check copyrights before doing so.

Most DVD recorder/VHS combo allow to attach an external DVD and copy from the one to the other (assuming there is no copyright protection). In case there is no automatic copying option you can still copy manually -by plugging the external device and play while you record into the internal one.

Well you can rip your DVD to any external drive using and third party DVD ripping software ,once you do that you will get a AVI,MPEG and any common fomats your DVD player supports

Inorder to play those files in your DVD player ,you need the check whether your DVD has a USB input port or else if you laptop or computer has a S-video out put and your TV has S-Video input ;you can play directly from your laptop/computer to the TV using a S-video Cable which is available in any Computer shop.
