How to set over ear motorola H500

Starting with your headset turned off, press and hold the call button for more than 6 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit (you'll notice that the light will flash as if the headset was being turned on, but don't release the button at this step). You headset is now in pairing mode. Now, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, the H500 will appear on the phone screen. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros).

Hope it works for you.

Cheers! Carlos

My iPhone 3G does not discover my Motorola H500.

Try this link. It solved my issue www.scribd.com/doc/280088/motorola-h500-bluetooth-earpiece-manual. Basically what you need to do is power the earpiece off. Make sure that your IPhone is not currently attempting to discover bluetooth devices (i.e. Bluetooth is OFF). Hold the On button on your earpiece (it has the symbol of a phone on it) for 6-10 seconds. The light on the earpiece remains lit. Now your earpiece is in discovery mode. On your IPhone, go to Settings, General, Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth ON. Now your phone and your earpiece are both in discovery mode. When you see "Headset" listed, select it and enter the password "0000". Your IPhone is now paired with your H500 headset.

I have a h500 cannot pair to my phone lg env

I just did this successfully. Trick was: (1) be sure your headset is fully charged and in the "ON" mode... to do this, you must hold down the power key (the one with the little phone receiver on it) on the H500 for 8 seconds or more or until the blue light is on steadily; (3) THEN go to the Settings & Tools menu on the enV, select #7 'Bluetooth Menu' and then select Add New Device. It will search for your headset automatically - note: the headset has to be powered on for this to work. Then 'pair' will appear as a menu option, select it, and it will pair automatically.

    Trying to pair with bluetooth

I have a Motorola H500 headset & was having the same problem. I think it's all in the timing. With the headset off, hold down the Call button for 6 to 10 seconds until the light stays lit--solid light, not blinking. This is when the headset is in "discoverable" mode. Immediately access the settings & tools menu on the phone, then to the bluetooth communication settings to locate & pair the phone with the headset. Hope this helps with your devices.
