I'm sorry to hear that your Husqvarna 125B blower isn't starting. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the fuel level in the tank. If the tank is empty, fill it with the correct fuel mixture (50:1 ratio of gasoline to oil). If the fuel is stale (more than 30 days old), drain the tank and refill it with fresh fuel.
Check the spark plug. Make sure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. If the spark plug is dirty or damaged, replace it.
Check the air filter. A dirty air filter can restrict the flow of air, causing the engine to run poorly or not start at all. Clean or replace the air filter as needed.
Check the carburetor. If the carburetor is dirty or clogged, it can prevent the engine from starting. Clean the carburetor or have a professional service it.
Check the ignition system. If the ignition system is not functioning properly, the engine may not start. Check the ignition coil, ignition switch, and any other related components to make sure they are working correctly.
If you have tried these steps and the engine still won't start, it may be necessary to take the blower to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.
Remove the four bolts holding the starter recoil assembly. Remove the cover. You will find the ignition coil held on with two bolts, remove the bolts and disconnect the kill wire.
Replace the new coil. First emory cloth the contact areas where the bolts go through the coil. The coil needs a good ground on the cylinder. Emory the mount locations and the mount locations on the coil. Connect the kill wire then instal the coil and lightly tighten the screws. set the air gap to 0.3 mm. Tighten the bolts, attach spark plug boot.
Use an air gap tool. Clean the area where the coil mounts on the engine with emory cloth to make sure you get a good ground. install the coil and lightly tighten screws (just over finger tight) slide in the air gap tool and align the coil, make sure both legs of the coil are even on the tool. Snug the screws and recheck the gap.
The 395 has an electronic ignition, as this unit works off speed of rotation you need to make sure you are cranking the engine fast enough to check for a spark, to eliminate the switch and wire, dissconnect the wire from the unit itself, now try for a spark, if still no spark with a new plug, you will have to replace the unit
Hi Charles,
Your saw was made in 2001. 1st 2 numbers of the serial number. That's a big saw though and seems to be pretty reliable. I put a link for a review here for you. Tanks Dane
is the air gap at the ignition pickup correct is the plug cap & lead in good order ie no visible cracks in either lead or cap check the conections at the coil are all fuses serviceable try these for a start if no luck get back to me
there is no timing spec . the air gap is .010 to .012. or .254 mm to .305 mm.open the gap all the way up and tighten the screws.bring the flywheel magent to the coil making sure that both sides of the coil is on the magnet.slide the gapping tool in and the magent will hold it in place.once it's there release the screws holding the coil and the magents wiil pull the coil to it.once it's there retighten the screws and your done.
