Dryer is growling when spinning heavy loads.

I had no noise. I ran some tennis shoes for a while. The noise started while running the shoes. If I put in a full load of wet clothes - it growls. As the clothes dry and get lighter - the growling stops. A light load does not growl. So somehow it's related to the weight of the load in the drum. The growl(g) noise is only during part of a full drum rotation(.). The rest of the rotation is normal noise. ie, ....gg.....ggg.....gg....ggg.....ggg..... Any ideas?

The bearings may be gone, but I don't know how old your machine is or the brand. If it is over 8 years old, consider replacing it. Maybe get an estimate from a repairman who knows your brand.

F&p gas dryer thumping noise when turned on. sounds like tennis shoes in the dryer.

Please check the roof first.
Then,
You have a part of the dryer has broken and is slapping the inside of the machine.
Please do not use the dryer again until it is repaired.
I say this because of the danger of fire, from the gas flames that dry the clothes.
God bless your efforts.

Check for a failed capacitor under the control panel It is a start/run capacitor that the motor needs to start running. The motor will hum and if left will eventually burn out.

This started recently, my dryer makes a loud noise while it's drying. It sounds like tennis shoes are in there drying.

There are usually 3 rollers that the drum rides on as it spins. Sounds like one or more of the rollers has worn out
