The 20% 2nd row tumble seat release latch is stuck. How do I get it to release?

Check down in every pocket the locks into. cold be obstructed. If they are clear, you also need to lube the latches at both sides. If it still wont budge, it needs help with a pry bar, one side at a time going back and forth.

How do I dismantle my Dyson DC58 to clean all filter etc

Hi David, it's Jack at Dyson.

We'd advise against dismantling DC58 any further than is shown in the User guide. This could cause damage to your machine not covered under guarantee - meaning any replacement parts needed could be chargeable. However, you can wash the lifetime pre-filter following the steps shown in the video below:

We recommend washing the filter at least once a month, using cold water without detergent. Make sure the filter is totally dry before replacing it, which could take at least 24 hours.

To clean any fluff or debris from the mesh shroud, press the red bin base release catch once to open the bin base. Then with the base still open, press the same red catch firmly a second time:

You can use a dry cloth or a soft brush to remove any debris from the mesh shroud.

It's normal for harmless static to cause fine dust particles to cling to parts of the bin, cyclone pack and behind the mesh shroud. This dust will not affect performance as the airflow doesn't need to pass through this. You should find tapping the cyclone pack gently when emptying the machine will help dislodge any clinging particles.

I hope this helps, but for further advice you can call our experts directly on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Piaggio bv250 tourer

one of them scooter thingys ,i do think i would i would need a good look here to be honest ,have had some sucess with a helper who works the manual release and i attack the seat with a big screwdriver ,but this is brutish to say the least and it does work sometimes if the catch is just short of a good lube up with the oil can but sometimes they get bent where the locking bar is and the only alternative is to a good wrench and break it all off ,best advice here is go to the main agant and get them to have a look ,it may be cheaper than breakinmg anything

How do I remove the headrest from the car seat?

I have not done an 850 so this is my best guess based on doing other Volvos.......
If the back of the seat is soft, you should be able to press in on the fabric far enough to feel the two metal rods that support the headrest. The rods stick through two plastic guides. There is a notch in one or both of the metal rods near the bottom. That notch catches on a catch in the lower plastic guide. You should feel a slight bump in the lower plastic guide that is actually a release.
Have your helper pull up on the headrest while you press both those releases at the same time.
If that does not work, you will have to detach the cover from the seat back and pull it up to expose the headrest support system. That can be a real pain, but I presume that you intend to dismantle the seat anyway.

How do I get the back seat up (Released) I need to retrieve an object that slipped down behind it.

Push the bottom front of the seat to the rear and lift. There are two catches you must release.

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com

Can't figure out how to get the rear seat cowl off of my 1999 suzuki gsxr. i have taken the driver seat off and the two screws that go into the sides of the cowl, however it still won't come off.

feel under the cowling on the left hand side( side without exhaust), and you will find a key slot, that should release the catch to both the pillion seat or cowling

1998 dodge ram 1500, front seats belts retracted and will not release. What do I check? Dealership said would have to replace the front seats. This truck only has 33,000 miles and garage kept. Please...

This may be a problem with the catch and release gear where the seat belt rolls up. The mechanism is supposed to catch only when the belt is tugged fast. Usually if you **** the belt back and forth a few times then pull really really slow the belt should release. If it does not then remove the plastic covering for the spool and look for foreign objects or bent parts.

How can I remove front row seat headrest?

Most volvo headrest can be removed by releasing the catches which are on the back of the headrest on some models and on the front on others I believe on 960 they are on the back. To release the seat on a 960 look where the shafts should be then follow it down on the back where the seat back top stops then goes in press around that area you should be able to find the catch there pull up on the headrest while releasing the catch you have to do this on both sides. The headrest should come off this also works on 740 and 760 series the volvo 780 is a different story the only way to get the headrest off on that is to disassemble the seat
