A Fd (Factory Default) error code indicates that the washer was set back to factory default settings.
To return all options and modifiers to Factory Default, press POWER/CANCEL, select Drain & Spin cycle, and then press Extra Rinse, Fabric Softener, Extra Rinse, Fabric Softener within 5 seconds. When done correctly, the 7-segment displays show "Fd" for 3 seconds and then unit returns to Standby Mode.
If it was transported likely the set was damaged--one of the three picture tubes used could have been damaged--the flashing light is the set trying to come on and the buzzing is related to whatever is bad.
If you right hand mouse click on the louspeaker icon, click on open volume mixer. You can set the headphone volume and speaker volumes from there. (depending on your OS and set up preferences)
You have to use a Satellite HD box or a Cable Co. HD box. Your set did not come with a ATSC/QAM tuner for digital reception. Your have to use the RGB component inputs in the rear of the set.
More than likely it is a convergence problem. Best way to tell is to unplug the plugs marked red conv, blue conv, and green conv. Careful not to unplug yoke plugs by mistake, and make sure you mark plug and board when disconnecting. If convergence amps are the problem, set should power up with convergence plugs disconnected. You will need the factory remote to do those functions and others. The Part Number is HL01643; CLU-5713TSI. They cost about $60.00. You can get at local Hit service center.

At seven years old, thats a toss up, because most likely you will be nickle and diming the set from here on in. In my opinion, get a new set. Good Luck
