The slot adjacent to the Lock symbol is for a Kensington slot adapter. You can connect a cable to the adapter and lock the monitor to a table (for example). The Kensington versions involve a T-adapter which directly connect to a lock and cable. There are also scissor clips which fit into the slot and let you thread a cable or padlock through a hole in them. Then you secure the cable or lock.

Lock : Hold down the MENU button for more than five (5) seconds to activate the OSD adjustment

lock function.
