Try the advice given.
If it does not work as a last ditch effort leave the head out and unplug the machine for 5 minutes.
Start machine and install everything.
Hopefully this will bring the MG back to its pre-installed condition.
If it does not fix then it is time for a new machine.
Canon does have a loyalty program if you buy from them.
Usually 15%.
Good luck!!
Hi Nancy
either the printhead has developed a fault or if you had a paper jam or something like that it's possible it's not making a good electrical connection with the contacts in printer.
Sometimes switching power off/on few times is enough to bring it back to life. If that doesn't work, you could try removing the printhead and cleaning the electrical contacts before re-installing it. If even that doesn't work, there's not much more you can do. Buy a new printer, it's cheaper than new printhead and you get a new set of cartridges with it too.
If you need advice on how to remove the printhead, you can email me directly at: '[email protected]'..
good luck with it!
