What is error 7 on the self clean?

Error codes may be brand specific. Check your user manual for an error code list.

Some sources suggest an F7 error code points to a "possibly shorted button" or a "stuck button." If shorted, "probably requires a professional fix." If stuck, "you may be able to fix it yourself."

Stove Buttons Not Working How to Fix Range Keypad Using an Eraser

If the cancel button does not work, you may have a bad control panel which may require replacement. I have seen one suggestion to try pressing ALL the buttons. No way for me to evaluate that suggestion....

My plef398dch is in a range lock out mode that I cannot fix. I have searched the web and manuals to fix but nothing works

Good Morning friend, thank you for your post!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire oven, PLEF398DCH, has locked you out and you are unable to fix it. Sometimes a reset can fix this problem. In order to reset your oven you would need to flip the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes.

If this does not help correct the issue you can perform a self-clean and right before the clean starts press the cancel or clear button. This should trick the oven into disengaging your door lock. Lastly, hold down the clear or cancel button for 10 to 15 seconds and that should release the lock. If you perform all this troubleshooting and the door is still locked it could be a bad latch and that may need to be replaced. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Hi, F3 mag curr. what is means and how do I fix it?

Hi,
F3 is an complex code.

Easy fix is look at the transformers and the capacitors and the diodes. If it seems that any component has changed its appearence then fix it and replace the F3 fuse(3rd one from the front).

If the magnetron is bad ,then to check that you must know how to use clamp ammeter.
let me know if you know how to use clamp meter .
I will give you the solution .

NOTE oven has 5000V in it.
make sure you dischared the capacitors.
Thanks

We are getting an F7 code on our display ..What is this?

Send an e-mail to Charlie at [email protected] for a fix-it that you can try. He explains a possible solution fully with his 'The Dreaded "F7" Error' solution. I actually found his information on another website when I did a web search for "GE Profile Oven F7 Issue". I sent an e-mail to him and he replied with free fix-it information. I am not a repair person myself, but, his instructions are very clear and simple to follow. I did the fix-it at no cost in approximately 10 minutes and it has solved my problem

Ge profile

No I did not give you a bad rating. Actually I just rated you. You were very helpful.
We are going to get the extended warranty as it is $245.00. The part alone that I need is $217.00. Was just hoping is would be a little fix dollar wise and not a big fix.

Thanks so much for your help.
