An independent variable is the variable you have control over, what you can choose and manipulate. It is usually what you think will affect the dependent variable. In some cases, you may not be able to manipulate the independent variable. It may be something that is already there and is fixed, something you would like to evaluate with respect to how it affects something else, the dependent variable like color, kind, time.
Example: You are interested in how stress affects heart rate in humans. Your independent variable would be the stress and the dependent variable would be the heart rate. You can directly manipulate stress levels in your human subjects and measure how those stress levels change heart rate.
the engine and transmission computers are usually under the carpet.of the passenger side floor/foot rest area. Remove the carpet, which may require loosening the door jam or trim areas of passenger kick panel. Once the carpet is pulled back you should see a large (and you'll find out soon, quite heavy) "bash" or protection plate. This can be removed by extracting the fastening screws to the plate and moving the plate to the side. There are two or three plugs in each unit. Depress the center of the tab and pull away from the unit. The transmission computer is the one with the prefix part number "28100" and the engine controller has a prefix of "37820". The transmission
This is a common problem on 4x4 trucks and jeeps, it is cause by stress building up on the axels, An easy way to relieve the stress is to drive in reverse for a few yards, this relieves the tention that builds up on 4x4s. I know it sounds crazy stress and tention?? it has to do with the ratio on turning radius, the outside wheel has to travel farther than the inside wheel and this causes stress and tention on the axel/front end.also try and not turn so sharp.you will notice that goes away if you dont turn as sharp...
Firing Order, Small Block & SVO
This is one of the most common questions asked by our Ford customers.
The firing order for the early 221-302 engines and the early 5.0
engines is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. This is the firing order for all prefix
“31” cams and is the standard replacement cam for all early engines.
The later 5.0 engine and all 351 engines are designed to use the
1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 firing order. This is the firing order for all prefix
“35” cams, and cams ordered for these engines should use this prefix.
Other than the firing order, the cams are identical. By changing the
spark plug wiring at the distributor these cams can be interchanged.
